WHEN:  June 27 - July 2, 2026

WHAT: The 40th National Veterans Golden Age Games (NVGAG) are looking for energetic, dedicated individuals who will volunteer their time and talents which are essential to the success of the Games. VA Tampa Healthcare System will host Veteran athletes 55 years of age and older who will compete in 18 medal sporting events. We look forward to you volunteering in support of this year's Games.

Volunteers Will Receive:

• 40th NVGAG Volunteer T-shirt
• 1 (one) meal or meal voucher per day on shift

• Air Pistol
• Air Rifle
• Air Rifle Visually Impaired
• Archery
• Badminton
• Basketball (3 on 3 and Free Throw Competitions)
• Billiards (8-Ball)
• Boccia
• Bowling
• Cornhole
• Cycling (Ambulatory and Wheel Chair): 10K and 5K
• Disc Golf (Visually Impaired)
• Field
• Golf
• Horseshoes
• Pickleball
• Powerlifting
• Power Walk
• Shuffleboard
• Swimming
• Table Tennis
• Track
• Exhibition: Wheelchair Basketball
• Exhibition: Scuba Diving (Wheelchair, Visually Impaired)
• Exhibition: Kayaking (Ambulatory, Visually Impaired)
• Exhibition: Volleyball

Volunteer Assignments:

• Shifts are approximately 4-6 hours.
• Group Registration can be used to register youth without their own email addresses. 
• Volunteers must be 10 years of age or older
  • 10-13 years of age (Child) permitted if accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of the volunteer shift
    • ​​The following sports are open to ages 10-13:
      • Badminton
      • Cornhole
      • Pickleball
      • Table Tennis
         
• 14-17 years of age (Youth) can volunteer and must be accompanied by someone of either same age or older to participate with parental consent
  • Download the Youth Volunteer Parental Consent Form and be prepared to present the signed form at your first volunteer shift.
